DROPPIN DIMES 028: “The Great Tony Parks”

On this week’s episode of Droppin Dimes we were joined by Salt Lake City’s finest, Tony Parks. The Jazz Locker-room Reporter, Salt Lake Bees Reporter and host of 1280 The Zone’s Jake and Tony, dropped a lot of sports history and knowledge during the show.

We talked some baseball, Jackie Robinson, Utah Jazz and their playoff push, Rudy Gobert being the best defensive player in the NBA, March Madness, and we get down to the bottom of exactly how the AP Top 25 Poll really works (Tony is a voter for the AP Poll for college football and college basketball).

Listening to this podcast, you will also hear Tony’s take on who the biggest bust in sports history is, if Phil Jackson was a great coach or if his players made him great, and who the next iconic athlete is.

Tony was also very open about his childhood and the sacrifices his mother made to give him a better life, how he ended up in Utah, and how he was able to get his big break in media.
